Y
- ELEVEoh
December 12, 1986"
'f JVD
Laurie Cotulla DEC 15
San Joaquin Environmental
Health Department
P.O. Sox 2009 ENVIROmENTAL HEALTH
Stockton, 'CA 95201 FERMII/SERVICES
Dear Laurie:..
Enclosed for your review are soil -and 'water analysis for our
gasoline facility at:
X455 West Grantline
—Tracy, CA ' 95376
Also enclosed are the tank testing results that led us to
close the unleaded- tank, which .is the south "of three 10,000
gallon storage tanks on location.
One of our concerns at the present time.,is the risk that the
empty tank now has the ability to float. -The ground water
level is currently at 60"-; below.!'grade. TYe tank is currently
not taking .on any excess water and based o.n 'the lack of
negative inventory records, I am assuming -that the leak in
the tank may be above the 6 '. level.
I would like to propose that we ,fill the unused empty tank
with approximately 2,000 gallons of water ':as an effortto
help -ballast the tank and water; 'which when used for this
purpose will, of course,. be- handled as a hazardous waste upon
its future removal.
I would appreciate a conversation with .you at your earliest
convenience. In the meantime, Harding ,Lawson and Associates
are working on suggested cleanup options, which you will be .
E informed of as this situation develops.
Again, "if you have any .questions or comments,., please don't
hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Walt Lubcke
Gasoline Environmental,
Construction Coordinator .
Pnnlosures
xc: Dave Lewis
7-ELEVEN STORES/DIVISION 2299
' 5820 STONERIDGE MALL ROAD/SUITE 310 /P.O.
