PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING
SITE MITIGATION PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a interim remediation plan for
remediation of an underground leaking storage tank site located
at 455 West Grant Line Road in the City of Tracy
(APN 214-490-11) on the northwest corner of the intersection of
Grant Line Road and Buthmann, has been reviewed by San Joaquin
County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division
(PHS/RHD) . The plan is a proposal for mitigation of hazardous
substances which contaminated the site due to unauthorized
releases associated with underground storage tanks (UST) which
are located on the property.
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division, Local UST Oversight Program, has made a tentative
determination that the plan is in compliance with local, State
and Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work will
not create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed
the benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The corrective action plan is available for public review at the
City of Tracy Library, 20 East Eaton, Tracy, CA under the
title "Soil and Groundwater Remedial Plan" and PHS/EHD,
445 N. San Joaquin St. , Stockton, CA during normal working hours,
8 :00 a.m. - 5 :00 p.m. If a written request by any member of the
public for a public hearing is not received by PHS/EHD by
June 5, 1992, the tentative decision shall become final on that
date and time.
All requests for public hearings must be filed in writing to
FHS/EHD at P.O. Box 2009 , Stockton, 95201. Questions regarding
the specific site or procedures should be directed to
Mary Meays, RENS, at (209) 468-0337 .
DATED: April 29, 1992
BY: Laurie Cotulla, RENS, Program Manager, Unit IV
PUBLISH: May 6, 1992
NEWSPAPER: Tracy Press
