Based on the information in your submittals, it is our determination that this project meets the <br /> required conditions to be approved under our General Order for Discharge of Groundwater from <br /> Cleanup of Petroleum Fuel Pollution to Surface Waters NPDES Permit (General Order). Enclosed is <br /> a copy of the General Order. All the requirements contained in the General Order will be applicable to <br /> your project. You are hereby assigned General Order No. 92-15013 for the ground water cleanup of <br /> Southland Corporation's Site No. 20304 at 455 Grant Line Road in Tracy. <br /> Enclosed is a copy of Monitoring and Reporting Program No. 92-150 which prescribes minimum <br /> wastewater monitoring requirements for compliance with the General Order. Please note that the <br /> monitoring and reporting program sets forth minimum requirements, and that additional monitoring <br /> may be necessary for process control or for evaluating the effectiveness of the ground water <br /> extraction system at your site. <br /> PROJECT LOCATION <br /> The contaminant plume, extraction well, wid treatment system are a�455 Grant Line Load,Tracy, <br /> California in Section 16,T2S, R5E, MDB&M, as shown in Attachment 1, which is attached and part <br /> of this Order by reference. Southland Site No. 20304 is currently a 7-11 Convenience Store that up <br /> until 1989 included retail gasoline service. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> Southland Corporation proposes to discharge treated ground water from the cleanup of an <br /> underground gasoline tank leak into a storm drain on the north west side of the intersection of <br /> Buthmann Ave. and Grant Line Road. The storm drain discharges to Sugar Cut Slough, which is <br /> tributary to Old River, the San Joaquin River and the Delta. Pumped ground water will be passed <br /> through two 800 lb activated carbon vessels in series. The design flow of the treatment system is 25 <br /> gpm (0.036 mgd). <br /> GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> 1. The project shall be constructed and operated in accordance with the requirements contained in <br /> the General Order and in accordance with the information submitted in the report of waste <br /> discharge. <br />
