Groundwater Technology, Inc. will direct the installation of one well
accomplished using a truck-mounted drill rig. Drilling will be conducted at a location within the planter
to the east of the store front. The well will be Installed with a secured well cover. A temporary barricade
will be placed over the location until the cement has set (approximately 48 hours). All the field activities
will be completed by Friday, May 14, 1993.
Drilling will create waste soil and water that will be stored temporarily on the site property until results of
the chemical analysis are available (estimated one week). The results will allow us to determine the
proper method of disposal of these materials. The water will be sealed in labeled 55-gallon drums. We
propose to stockpile the soil on the site. This will require an area approximately 8 feet by 8 feet. The
soil will be laid down on plastic sheeting and covered until disposed is arranged. The Groundwater
Technology site geologist will verify with you the location for the temporary waste storage on Friday,
May 7, 1993.
Groundwater Technology will make ever effort to minimize the impact of our work on your operations. If
you have any questions, please call me at (510) 671-2387.
Sincerely,
Groundwater Technology, Inc.
