Routine quarterly groundwater
monitoring and sampling has been conducted since that time. Reported analytical results
I indicate that the plume of contamination is stable and declining.
The EHD has discussed the status of this site with a representative from the Regional Water
Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (CVRWQCB) and they agreed that the site may .
be a candidate for closure. Please proceed with preparation of a closure report that includes
a calculation of contaminant mass remaining at the site in soil and groundwater, a model
predicting how long.it will be until dissolved contaminant concentrations reach water quality
goals, a discussion of the potential threat from vapor.intrusion, and all requirements listed in
the Tri-Regional Guidelines Appendix A. The closure report is due for submittal to the EHD
no later than July 3,2009.
i
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Sincerely,
t
Lori Duncan, REHS Margare agorio, REHS
Registered Environmental Health Specialist Program Coordinator
c: Jim Barton, CVRWQCB, 11020 Sun Center Drive Ste. 200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Damon Brown, Stantec, 3017 Kilgore Road Ste. 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
