Box 1036 <br /> I Tracy, California 95378 <br /> I <br /> Attention: Mr. Sohrab Rahimzadeh <br /> Subject: Grantline Gas and Food <br /> 2420 Grantline Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> SOIL SAMPLING AT THE LOCATION OF FORMER PRODUCT <br /> LINES AND STOCKPILE SOIL <br /> Dear Mr. Rahimzadeh: <br /> Advance Soil Technology, Inc. is presenting herein the results of the laboratory analyses <br /> ii performed on the soil samples collected from the product line trenches and stockpiled soil <br /> generated from excavation of these trenches at the locations shown.in Figure 2 of this <br /> report. <br /> On May 20, 1993, a representative of Advance Soil Technology, Inc. was P, Incresent and <br /> collected soil samples from former product line trenches and stockpile soils at the site after <br /> removal of these lines. The soil samples were collected at approximately 2 feet below the <br /> native soil at the site and from locations identified by San Joaquin County, senior <br /> environmental health specialist, Mr. William R. Snavely at the site. This sampling program <br /> was performed for the determination of concentration of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds <br /> in the native soil prior to installation of new pipings at the site. <br /> i <br /> �- A total of five soil samples were collected according to the guidelines established by the <br /> State of California Leaking Underground Fuel Tank (LUFT) Field Manual. Sample <br /> locations are shown in Figure 2. <br /> The top 24 inches of soil was removed from the location of each sampling area and then a <br /> clean brass liner was driven into the soil until completely filled with soil. All soil samples <br /> were collected in 2-inch diameter, 6-inch long, new brass liners. <br /> After removal, the ends of each sample liner was covered with aluminum foil, capped at <br /> each end by plastic caps, and sealed with tape. Each sample was immediately labeled with <br /> site identification and recorded on the chain-of custody form. After labeling, each sample <br />
