5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 5.1 Site map showing the location,with dimensions, of the soil profiled pit on the parcel. See <br /> Appendix. <br /> 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions. The shallow test hole <br /> was prepared per County Standards. The hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 <br /> inches in diameter. The hole was backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel". <br /> 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using <br /> industry standard protocol. The Soil in this area is classified as Tokay fine sandy loam as <br /> stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, and as provided by the United States <br /> Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. (See Appendix.) <br /> 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soil <br /> classified as Tokay fine sandy loam in this area has a permeability that is well drained. The <br /> percolation rate was 15.6 min/in. (See Appendix.) <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 6.1 Site map showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation <br /> test holes on the parcel: (See Appendix.) <br /> 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each <br /> parcel: One shallow percolation test hole was prepared on the parcel. If rezoning is granted, a <br /> percolation test will be completed for each parcel. <br /> 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including <br /> depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak <br /> (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches <br /> in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel' in accordance with County Standards. <br /> The shallow hole was prepared by Joel Montano of Dillon and Murphy on October 30, 2019 at <br /> 8:00 a.m. On September 1, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. the shallow hole was prepared and the 24 hours <br /> presoak period was started. The hole was filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this <br /> time. <br /> 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period <br /> (hole still intact,hole dry,preparation of hole,and depth of water used to presoak(minimum <br /> 12 inches): On September 2,2019 at 8:00 a.m.the shallow test hole was dry. Six inches of water <br /> was added to the hole and the hole was deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed the <br /> minimum County requirements. <br /> 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02(correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water <br /> refill,correct readings recorded). The percolation test conformed to San Joaquin County Policy <br /> EHD 02-02. <br /> 3 <br />
