INTRODUCTION <br /> rAt the request of Mr Joe Toste Jr, Advanced GeoEnvironmental,'Inc (AGE), has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for field activities performed at 2420 Grant Line Road,Tracy, California during the <br /> fourth quarter 2002 The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Monitoring well and boring locations <br /> ron the site are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> A detailed summary of previous work performed at the site was presented in the AGE-prepared <br /> documents titled Quarterly Report-March 1996,dated 15 April 1996 and QuarterlyReport--March <br /> 1999, dated 10 May 1999 Monitoring and sample data from January 1994 to the p resent are <br /> rsummarized in Tables 1 through 3 of this report <br /> I2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> This report is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> . (CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites The field work <br /> was conducted in accordance with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> guidelines for sampling ground water monitoring wells <br /> I <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> On 19 December 2002, the water levels in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-8 were measured <br /> relative to the tops of the well casings using a Solinst water level meter After water levels were <br /> measured, wells MW-2 through MW-8 were evacuated (purged) utilizing a dedicated, disposable <br /> plastic bailer, approximately 15 to 6 gallons (a minimum of three casing-water volumes per well) <br /> of water were removed from each well Monitoring well MW-1 was not purged or sampled, <br /> stormwater runoff was flowing into the well box at the time of the monitoring event Temperature, <br /> pH and conductivity of the purged ground water were measured at regular intervals using an Oakton <br /> water analyzer during purging, the measurements had stabilized by the end of the purging process <br /> Purged water was stored on-site in labeled 55-gallon,Department ofTransportation(DOT)-approved <br /> drums Field logs are included in Appendix A <br /> 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Prior to collection of ground water samples,the depth to ground water was gauged in each purged <br /> . well (MW-2 through MW-8) to ensure that a minimum of 80% of the initial well volume had <br /> Irecharged Afterwards, water samples were collected from wells MW-2 through MW-8 using the <br /> Advanced GenEnwronmental Inc <br />
