SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the findings from this investigation, AGE concludes
• The northerly ground water flow direction inferred from data collected dunng this
Emomtonng event is consistent with ground water flow directions determined dunng past
monitoring events at the site
E • TPH-d was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-2, MW-4 and
MW-5 at concentrations of 88 µg/1, 780 µg/1 and 300 µg11, respectively TPH-g was not
detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground water samples
E •,
Ethylbenzene was present in sample MW-2 at a concentration of 0 67 µg/1, which is dust
above the detection limit of 0 5 µg/1
• MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260 in the samples collected from MW-5 through
MW-8 The MTBE concentration in easternmost well M W-8 decreased to levels more
E consistent with previous concentrations following a marked increase during the third quarter
2002 monitonng event However, the concentration detected in the sample collected from
MW-8 during the fourth quarter 2002 exceeded the DHS Secondary MCL for MTBE un
I dnnking water In addition, the MTBE concentration of 16 4g/1 in sample MW-6 exceeded
the DHS' Primary MCL in drinking water
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc
I
