' Quarterly Report - June 1997 <br /> • GRANT LINE GAS & FOOD <br />' 2420 Grant Line Road, Tracy, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE), has <br />' prepared this Quarterly Report for the field activities performed at 2420 Grant Line Road, Tracy, <br /> California Quarterly ground water monitoring activities were conducted on 13 June 1997 The <br />' general setting of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 - Location Map Monitoring well locations on the <br /> site are illustrated in Figure 2 -Site Plan A detailed background of previous work performed at the <br /> site was presented in the Quarterly Report- December 1996, dated 28 Februaiy 199 ; prepared by <br />' AGE <br /> The quarterly monitoring and sampling was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County <br />' PubIic Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank <br /> (UST) sites <br /> 10 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br />' On 13 June 1997, the water level in each monitoring well was measured relative to the top of the <br /> well casing using a Solinst water level meter After water levels were measured, a two-stage <br />' submersible pump was used to purge each %Nell Three to four gallons (minimum of three well <br /> volumes) of water were removed from each well Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured <br /> at two-gallon intervals using an ICM water analyzer during purging, and had generally stabilized <br />' (Appendix A)by the end of the purging process Purged water was stored on-site in 55-gallon, DOT- <br /> approved drums <br /> 1 <br /> 22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br />' Water samples were collected from each well using a new disposable plastic bailer Each water <br /> sample was transferred into two 40-m1 VOA vials and one I-liter amber bottle After collection, the <br /> samples were labeled and placed in a chilled container for transportation under chain-of-custody to <br />' McCampbell Analytical, Inc , (MAI), in Pacheco, California <br />' Samples were analyzed in accordance with -EPA Methods 5030/8015m for total petroleum <br /> • hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and as diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d), and in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 8020/602 for volatile aromatics(benzene,toluene,ethyl benzene and total xylenes BTE&X) <br />' and methyl-tert-butyl ether(MTBE) <br />
