INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with a request from Mr Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br />' performed quarterly ground water monitoring activities at 2420 Grant Line Road in Tracy, California <br /> The quarterly task was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites The <br /> location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> s <br />' 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 21 SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located on the southeast corner of Grant Line Road and Toste Road in a rural area west <br /> of Tracy, California(Figure 1) Interstate 205 is located approximately 200 feet northwest of the site <br /> The site is currently occupied by a gasoline service station and miru-mart establishment <br /> 22 SITE ASSESSMENT <br />' It is our understanding that on 20 May 1993, soil samples were collected from beneath the former <br /> product lines at the site by Advanced Soil Technology (AST) Analysis of the soil samples indicated <br />' that hydrocarbon impacted soil was present in the area of the former product Iines <br /> On 30 June 1993, three underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the site, two 7,500- <br /> gallon unleaded gasoline tanks and one 5,000-gallon diesel tank The tank removal was performed <br /> by Walton Engineering During removal, ground water was encountered in the excavation, <br /> necessitating collection of water samples Analysis of the ground water samples indicated that ground <br />' water had been impacted <br /> On 5 January 1994, five soil borings were drilled at the site by AST Three of the borings were <br />' completed as two-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells Laboratory analysis of soil samples <br /> from the borings indicated low concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in four of the five borings <br /> Impacted ground water was present in samples from two of the three monitoring wells <br />
