File No 94342-S&G Page 3 <br /> the report was presented on June 2, 1993 The results of this limited investigation <br /> indicated contamination in the soil at the location of the product line trenches <br /> 2 On June 30, 1993, Walton Engineering removed three underground storage tanks(two- <br /> 7500 gallon, and one 5000-gallon) Soil sampling performed at the sidewalls and <br /> bottom of the excavation revealed contamination in the soil Laboratory analyses <br /> of samples of groundwater from the bottom of the excavation revealed contamination <br /> in the groundwater also The results of this investigation was presented in the Advance <br /> Soil Technology, Inc report, File No 93342-TR dated July 9, 1993 <br /> 3 On July 13, 1993 a representative of Advance Soil Technology, Inc collected soil <br /> samples from the stockpiled soil (generated from tank removal) at the site The results <br /> of this investigation and sampling was presented in our report, File No 93342-NSP <br /> dated July 19, 1993 <br /> ' 4 On July 21 and 22, 1993 the stockpiled soil at the site was removed to a new location <br /> at 2480 Toste Road for aeration purposes The results of this activity was presented <br /> in our report File No 93342-RSP dated July 29, 1993 <br /> i <br /> 5 Aeration of stockpiled soil commenced on August 16, 1993 and continued until the <br /> sampling day of September 24, 1993 The results of sampling revealed no detection of <br /> jcontaminants in the soil The results of this activity was presented in our report, <br /> File No 93342-ASP dated October 4, 1993 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 0 Field Investigation <br /> A total of five soil borings were drilled at the site on January 5, 1994, at the locations shown <br /> in Figure 2 These borings were drilled to the depth ranging from 5 to 20 feet below the <br /> existing ground surface The borings were advanced with a truck mounted drill rig utilizing <br /> eight inch diameter hollow stem augers Soil samples were extracted as the boring <br /> progressed, by driving a modified California split spoon sampler into the ground A 140 <br /> ADVANCE SOIL TECHNOLOGY INC <br />
