File No 93342-WP Page 5 <br /> Sample Handling Storage, and Transport <br /> 1- All soil and groundwater sampling, handling, and storage will be conducted under the <br /> direction of our contract laboratory All laboratory analyses will be accomplished by a <br /> state approved laboratory <br /> 2- All equipment that contacts samples will be thoroughly cleaned prior to arrival to a site <br /> and between samplings New or used samplers will be washed with an anionic detergent <br /> solution (Alconox), rinsed with tap water, rinsed with distilled water, drained of excess <br /> water, and air dried or wiped dry with a clean towel <br /> 3- Sample method blanks will be taken during the final stage of decontamination at the rate <br /> of one per groundwater monitoring well Selected method blanks will be subjected to <br /> chemical analysis for quality control <br /> 4- Groundwater samples will be collected for a specific set of parameters The containers <br /> and preservatives utilized will be done in accordance with currently accepted practices <br /> All containers used in the collection of groundwater samples will either be shipped by <br /> the contract laboratory or I-Chem Research of Hayward, California <br /> 5- All samples will be collected in an order such that those parameters most sensitive to <br /> volatization will be sampled first <br /> 6- All sample containers will be labeled and identified in the field The label will contain <br /> the date, sample number, location, time sample was recovered, and the name of the <br /> person taking the sample <br /> 7- All groundwater samples will be held at 4 degree Centigrade by packing in ice in a <br /> covered ice chest specifically designated for that purpose <br /> S- At no time will the elapsed time between sample collection and delivery at the contract <br /> laboratory be greater than 72 hours <br /> 9- Preservatives will not be added to any sample, unless instructed, they will be requested <br /> and supplied by the contract laboratory <br /> 10- Under no circumstances will sample containers be opened by anyone other than <br /> laboratory personnel who will perform the specified chemical analysis Laboratory <br /> chemical testing will be performed to determine the presence and quantity of priority and <br /> non-priority pollutants <br /> ADVANCE SOIL TECHNOLOGY, INC <br />
