1 Ground Water Monitoring Report - Fourth Quarter 2001 <br /> GRANT LINE GAS & FOOD <br />' 2420 Grant Line Road, Tracy, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Joe Toste Jr, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE), has prepared this <br />' quarterly report for field activities performed at 2420 Grant Line Road,Tracy, California during the <br /> fourth quarter 2001 The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Monitoring well and boring locations <br />' on the site are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> A detailed summary of previous work performed at the site was presented in the AGE-prepared <br /> documents titled Quarterly Report-March 1996,dated 15 April 1996 and Quarterly Report-March <br />' 1999, dated 10 May 1999 Monitoring and sample data from January 1994 to the present are <br /> summarized in Tables 1 through 3 of this report <br /> 1 <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 1 This report is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites The field work <br /> • was conducted in accordance with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> guidelines for sampling ground water monitoring wells <br />' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' On 26 December 2001,the water levels in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-8 were measured <br /> relative to the tops of the well casings using a Solinst water level meter After water levels were <br /> measured, disposable plastic bailers were used to evacuate (purge)each well Approximately three <br />' to five gallons (a minimum of three casing-water volumes per well) of water were removed from <br /> each well Temperature,pH and conductivity of the purged ground water were measured at regular <br /> intervals using an Oakton water analyzer during purging The measurements had stabilized by the <br />' end of the purging process Purged water was stored on-site in labeled 55-gallon, Department of <br /> Transportation(DOT)-approved drums Field logs are included in Appendix A <br /> i <br /> 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br />' Prior to collection of ground water samples, the depth to ground water was gauged in each purged <br /> well to ensure that a minimum of 80%of the initial well volume had recharged Water samples were <br /> 1 collected from each well using new disposable plastic bailers Additionally, On 23 January 2002 a <br /> water sample was collected from the domestic well located on the adjacent site to the south (2450 <br /> Toste Road,DW2450)after the well purge valve was opened and water was allowed to run for more <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc <br />
