' 12 July 2001
• AGE-NC Project No 95-0111
' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g and BTEX compounds were not detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in the ground
t water samples TPH-d was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-4 and
MW-5 at concentrations of 880µg/l and 1,500µg/1, respectively
' MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8020 in the sample collected from MW-1 at a concentration
of 5 7 µg/1 MTBE was confirmed in the ground water sample collected from MW-1 and detected
in the ground water sample collected from MW-7 by EPA method 8260 at concentrations of 5 6µg/l,
' and I 0 ug/l,respectively No other fuel oxygenated compounds were detected at or above laboratory
reporting limits in the ground water samples analyzed
' Analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory
reports(MAI Laboratory Sample No 70838 through 70845), quality assurance and quality control
report and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B
1
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the findings from this investigation, AGE concludes
g
' • The northerly ground water flow direction inferred from data collected during this
monitoring event is consistent with ground water flow directions determined during past
' monitoring events at the site
• TPH-d was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-4 and MW-5 at
concentrations of 880 µg11 and 1,500 µg/1, respectively TPH-d concentrations have
' decreased compared to the previous sampling event
• MTBE was detected in samples from two wells (MW-1 and MW-7) with the highest
' concentration (5 6 µg/1) occurring munediately down-gradient and slightly oblique of the
UST facility (MW-1) MTBE concentrations are below the State of California primary
maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 13 µg/1 A map illustrating the approximate extent
of TPH-d- and MTBE-impacted ground water is depicted on Figure 4
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc
