September 13, 1995. I. H
Page 3 G
t
xylenes (BTEX,compounds), total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel
(TPH-d), oil and grease, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), semi
E -volatile organic'compounds (SVOCs), and ICAP metals including
cadmium, chrorium, lead, nickel, and zinc (ICRP metals).
FINDINGS :i I
E Subsurface Conditions
Soils underlying the site encountered.during drilling consisted primarily of interbedded
clayey silt, sandy silt, silt,:!silty sand, and sand to the total depth explored of
approximately 60.5 feet b`gs.! Grbundwater was first encountered at approximately 40 to
44 feet bgs in the clayey and sandy silt and silty sand.
Groundwater was encountered and stabilized at a depth of approximately 42 to 44 feet
bgs (2.43,to 3.40 feet MSL)',in the wells installed during the investigation. Groundwater
elevation data; calculated,f-drn data collected on August 2, 1995, indicate that"ground-
water flow beneath the site is to the southwest at an approximate gradient of 0.006 ft/ft.
Groundwater elevation and gradient data, and flow direction are shown on Figure 2. I
h,
Soil Analytical Results
i.
Results of soils analyses indicate''that soil samples were non detect f I ical
p or all analyti
parameters with the exception of several ICAP metals. Soil samples from Weli MW-3
(located near the waste oil tank)detected metals at concentrations ranging from 4 to.
24 ppm in soil samples collec'ted''at 5 and 10 feet bgs. The results of VOC and SVOC i
analyses from soil samples collected at 5 and 10 feet bgs from Well MW-3 were non-
detect. Soil analytical data are presented in Table 1.
I
Groundwater Analytical Results P,
Results of groundwater analyses.indicate that all groundwater samples were non-detect
for all analytical parameters with''the exception of several total and dissolved metals and
the VOC ietrachloroethene. Tetrachloroethene was detected in Well MW-3 at-'a
concentration of 6 parts per billion (ppb). Groundwater elevation and analytical data are
presented in Table 2.
If there are any questions regarding the contents of this letter report, please call.
3201531 AUZEPO RT
u. h '
