House area of the former Shell Oil pipeline for WDC Drilling. <br /> Originally these four wells were included on a permit I issued to Gregg Drilling on March 22,2010 that covered the <br /> CVRWQCB approved CRA work plan dated March 8,2010. <br /> NO details could be found in this work plan detailing the constructions specifications for the conductor casings(cc) <br /> proposed for these wells.Although some of the information was included on the EHD boring permit application, it was not <br /> adequate to allow for the permit to be issued. <br /> In order for me/the EHD to issue a permit to the drilling contractor for these wells, I will need to understand and approve <br /> the material and dimension specifications for the proposed construction. <br /> Please submit a side view of the well construction details complete with materials,dimensions, and depths below surface <br /> grade. A narrative section should also be included that details the procedures, drilling methods, and grouting procedures <br /> planned during this phase. Time between the cc grouting and the drilling for the PVC casing and the grout specs are to be <br /> included also to ensure adequate setting time is allowed between the steps. I need to ensure that the minimum grout <br /> annulus(2-inches)is provided between the cc and the PVC well casing and the surrounding materials and that adequate <br /> 'centralizing'methods are used to maintain the grout annulus spacing throughout the length of the casings. <br /> Prior to submitting these documents to the EHD, please allow the CVRWQCB the opportunity to review the well <br /> specifications and installation procedures. If the CVRWQCB has no objection/comments,then the documents are to be <br /> forwarded to me/the EHD for review and approval. <br /> Drilling these cc'd wells cannot proceed until both the CVRWQCB approves/comments and the EHD issues the boring <br /> permit. <br /> The EHD is to be present for the conductor casing installation and grout placement,as well as the later drilling/installation of <br /> the PVC casing thru the cc for the first deep well installation,at least.All grouting may be inspected if concerns are raised <br /> at the first deep well installation.
