The purpose of this assessment is to determine if methyl <br /> tertiary butyl ether (MtBE) is a potential threat to a municipal supply well located to the <br /> east of the site (Figure 1). <br /> This work plan includes a brief discussion of site background, summary of previous <br /> investigations, and proposed scope of work. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is an operating Chevron service station located in a commercial area of <br /> Stockton, California. The current station facilities include three dispenser islands under <br /> a canopy, two gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs), and a station building 1 <br /> McDonald's. Figure 2 shows the current station facilities. <br /> Information on any previous investigations was not available. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work for this site assessment will include the drilling and installation of <br /> three groundwater monitoring wells at the general locations shown on Figure 2.
