Once at the laboratory, the samples will be <br /> handled in accordance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency SW-846, Test Methods for <br /> Evaluating Solid Waste Physical/Chemical Methods, Third Edition, for the intended analyses. <br /> All data sheets, chromatographs, and laboratory records will be filed as part of the <br /> permanent documentation. <br /> D.3 Corrections to Documentation <br /> Original data recorded in field notebooks, chain-of-custody records, sampling information <br /> sheets, and other forms should be written in ink. These documents should not be altered, <br /> destroyed, or discarded, even if they are illegible or contain inaccuracies that require a <br /> replacement document. <br /> D.4 Sample Storage and Disposal <br /> Samples and extracts should be retained by the analytical laboratory for 60 days after a <br /> written report is issued by the laboratory.
