Shell <br /> Site Investigation Report <br /> sample collection stopped at 40 fbg,which was just into groundwater. CRA shipped the soil samples to <br /> CalScience Environmental Laboratories, Inc. (CalScience) in Garden Grove,CA for analysis. The samples <br /> were analyzed for: <br /> • Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as crude oil (TPHc(C6—C44)) by EPA Method 8015B(M). <br /> • Benzene,Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes(BTEX) by EPA Method 8260B. <br /> 3.9 Boring Abandonment <br /> Following sample collection, soil borings B-117 through B-119 were backfilled with grout to existing <br /> grade. <br /> 3.10 Soil Boring/Well Location Survey <br /> Mid Coast Engineers(MCE)of Watsonville, California conducted a survey on June 17,2014 to obtain <br /> latitude, longitude, and elevation data. MICE'S survey report is included as Appendix F. <br /> 3.11 Monitoring Well Installation <br /> Well MW-16 was completed to approximately 50 fbg and screened from 30 to 50 fbg. The well was <br /> constructed using 2-inch-diameter Schedule 40 PVC casing. The filter pack was placed from the bottom <br /> of the well screen up to 2 ft above the top of the well screen, followed by a 2-foot-thick bentonite seal, <br /> and cement grout to grade. The well is secured with a locking cap and an above-grade stovepipe. <br /> Table 1 summarizes the well construction details. <br /> 3.12 Well Development and Sampling <br /> Blaine Tech Services, Inc. (Blaine)developed well MW-16 on June 17, 2014 and collected initial <br /> groundwater sample from the well on June 26,2014. Blaine's field notes, presenting the well <br /> development and sampling data,are included in Appendix G. <br /> 3.13 Waste Disposal <br /> Residual soil from the borings was stored onsite in a roll-off bin,which was off-hauled on July 2,2014. <br /> American Integrated Services, Inc.of Fairfield, California transported the bin to Keller Canyon Landfill in <br /> Pittsburg, California for proper disposal based on the waste profile.
