WATERWORK .
GEOCHEMICAL•GEOTECHNICAL ENVIRONMENTAL
September 6, 1989
Dianne Hinson ''•`l
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept. 'r `-
1601 E. Hazelton Ave. i
Stockton, CA 95201 f
Dear Ms. Hinson,
Attached you will find a brief workplan for additional soil and
groundwater contamination assessment at the Knowles Property,
1140 Hammer Lane in Stockton. Please dont be alarmed by the bulk
of the document, I have appendicized the two earlier reports
summarizing work performed at the site by Groundwater Technology
Inc. so that your files will be complete with regard to this
matter . Until recently this site was being handled by the
Regional Board and they had approved (with reservations ) a Soil
Remediation Plan. We want to address those reservations by
logging and sampling 3 additional soil borings before proceeding
with any remediation, and that is the essence of the enclosed
plan. Also included is the plan for sampling the existing
monitoring wells on the site which were installed by Groundwater
Tech.
We would appreciate your timely review and authorization to
proceed with the plan. If you have any questions or require
additional information please contact me at your earliest
convenience.
Res ectfully
72
Russell W.
