A
Project 06020.01 June 11, 1991
RESULTS
Limited Soil Gas Survey
TVH concentrations recorded at the vapor .probes tested are given
Table 1. The highest TVH concentration, 5,095 parts per million (ppm)
was recorded at probe P-1 located at the north-west corner of they
gasoline storage tank complex. The second highest concentration, 900
'i ppm, was recorded at probe P-3 .located, south of. P-.1. ,TWremainder`of
,the vapor probes tested contained no detectable levels of hydrocarbon
vapors. ., . . 7
I
Limited Performance Test
The results of the limited Performance Test are given in Table 2:
The extraction volumes from extraction point P-1 ranged from 18.0 to° 24.0 F
standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) with a- vacuum ranging from J.%to
9.0 inches of mercury ("Hg) . . A maximum capture radius of 17 feet was
noted in the lateral plane.
CONCLUSIONS
TVH concentrations observed during the Soil Gas Survey indicate that,-the
backfill materials at north-west corner of the UST complex contain
tpetroleum hydrocarbon vapors: "
The results of the Performance Test indicate that, if needed, vapor
extraction is a feasible option for remediating the backfill material
., surrounding the underground storage tanks at the subject site
i
RECOMMENDATIONS }
i
Due to a tank replacement project scheduled at-this-time`foe-thesecona ,L
half of 1991 no recommendations for the-subject site-are-given, at-,this
time.
Sincerely,
EVAX Technologies, Inc.
Matt Kaempf '
Site Investigator
- 3 -
;, I
