Page 2 of 2 i
Mr Infurna:
Be advised that, yesterday, Horizon submitted (arid uploaded to GeoTracker) Soil Gas Investigation Report
for the subject site. Soil gas results indicate that the health risk from vapor intrusion to on-site workers and
i the public at large is below the level of concern. Horizon requested consideration of NFAR for the site.
Additionally, the first 2010 semi-annual monitoring report was submitted and uploaded on.July 14. The
monitoring report included the results of a vapor extraction system (VES) rebound test. The VES rebound
test indicated no rebound in influent vapor concentrations. Prior to shutting in the VES in August 2009,
Ii hydrocarbon influent rates to the VES had been less than 1 pound per.day since May 2008.
Ultramar has an additional use for the on-site vapor extraction equipment at another site. Ultramar and
Horizon requests permission to remove the vapor extraction equipment. -
r Thank you for your consideration.and please advise.
Rexford Smith
Professional Geologist No. 5307
HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC.
4970 Windplay Drive, Suite 5
EI Dorado Hills, California 95762
(916)939-2170
(916) 939-2172 FAX
r
j
E
f.
i
if
4
i
7,-
7/28/2010
