Beacon Station No 641 June 13, 2000 <br /> Stockton California Results of Additional Subsurface Investigation <br /> _l of Byron, California and disposed to TPS Technologies Inc (TPS) of Richmond, California <br /> • The TPS Non-Hazardous Soils manifest is contained in Appendix E <br /> The monitoring wells were developed and sampled in accordance with Horizon's Field <br /> Methods and Procedures included in Appendix B Field purge and sample data were <br /> recorded on the Monitoring Well Data Sheets contained in Appendix F A well head survey <br /> was performed to establish the top-of-casing (TOC) elevations of the monitoring wells <br /> relative to the existing site wells The TOC elevation survey field data are contained <br /> Appendix G <br /> Initial groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells MW-6, MW-7 and MW-8 <br /> on December 16, 1999 The groundwater samples were submitted to Kiff and analyzed for <br /> TPHg, BTEX and the seven oxygenates by EPA Method 8260B Groundwater analytical <br /> results for monitoring wells MW-6, MW-7 and MW-8 are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 <br /> Table 3 summarizes quarterly monitoring groundwater data collected since November 1996 <br /> CONCLUSIONS <br /> Five soil samples collected from soul boring B3 at depths ranging from 25 to 60 feet bsg were <br /> selected for analysis Analytical results indicate a TPHg concentration of 8 7 ppm and BTEX <br /> compounds ranging from 0 14 to 1 5 ppm m one sample collected at 35 feet bsg A benzene <br /> concentration of 0 016 ppm was reported in the 25-foot sample Concentrations of 0 017 <br /> ppm benzene and 0 0094 toluene were reported in the 45-foot sample A trace toluene <br /> concentration of 0 0053 ppm was reported in the 60-foot sample Concentrations of MTBE <br /> ranging from 4 2 to 0 021 ppm were reported in the five soil boring B3 samples The highest <br /> MTBE concentration was reported for the 35-foot sample and decreased with depth to 0 039 <br /> ppm at 60 feet bsg A 0 061ppm concentration of the fuel oxygenate TBA was reported in <br /> the 35-foot smaple No other TPHg, BTEX or fuel oxygenate concentrations were reported <br /> in the soil samples from soil boring B3 <br /> 641AddSbsrfc1vest5-00 doc 6 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> 164114 <br />
