1 <br /> LALHOPRUZ&V <br /> ENVIRONMENT INC. <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> WORK PLAN FOR AN <br /> ADDITIONAL SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> at <br /> Beacon Station No 641 <br /> 1210 East Hamner Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> for Ultramar Inc <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Ultramar Inc (Ultramar), Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has <br /> prepared this work plan to conduct an additional subsurface investigation at Beacon Station <br /> No 641 at 1210 East Hammer Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The purpose of this <br /> work is to evaluate the horizontal and vertical extent of gasoline-range hydrocarbons in the <br /> soil and groundwater beneath the site with the installation of two additional onsite <br /> groundwater monitoring wells, two additional offsite groundwater monitonng wells, and one <br /> onsite soil boring <br /> Results obtained during this investigation will be used to evaluate whether future subsurface <br /> investigation will be needed at the site The scope of work to be performed includes <br /> obtaining the necessary permits from the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services/Environmental Health Division (SJC PHS/EHD), obtaining an encroachment <br /> permit from the City of Stockton Department of Public Works (SDPW), obtaining an access <br /> agreement from the property owner(s) to the west of well MW-2, preparing a site-specific <br /> . health and safety plan, scheduling a drilling contractor, drilling five soil borings, and <br /> 5011 Golden Foothill Parkway Suite 7 • EI Dorado Hills CA 95762 • (916)939-2170 • FAX(916)939-2172 <br /> PO Box 5283 • Bakersfield CA 93388 • (805)589-8389 • FAX(805)589-1456 <br />
