Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> Attn: Mr. Jeff Wong <br /> RE: 9504 S.Harlan Road, French Camp, San Joaquin County, California <br /> (the Site) <br /> To Whom It May Concern: <br /> Continental Grain Company is the owner of the Site(referenced above) and is currently <br /> performing an investigation of soil and groundwater in connection with a potential sale. <br /> The Site currently operates as a seed and grain handling facility. <br /> Preliminary data from the investigation at the Site show elevated levels of certain <br /> substances in the soil and groundwater. Two groundwater samples were taken. One was <br /> taken as part of soil boring investigations and one was taken from an existing water <br /> supply well. An additional sample was taken from a holding tank connected to the water . <br /> supply well. The groundwater sample results taken from the soil boring showed levels of <br /> carbon tetrachloride at 3.1 micrograms per liter(ug/L) and chloroform at 15 ug/L. The <br /> sample taken from the water supply well showed levels of carbon tetrachloride at 230 <br />
