COPY
i
January 19, 1996
1
}
Donna Heran, Division Manager '
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
Post Office Box 2009 t
Stockton, CA 95201
HD
i
f
We have reviewed the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) report on leaking
underground storage tank cleanup. Based on this report, can we expect changes in the cleanup
processes being used in the City. of Stockton? We would like to discuss the impact this report
and its probable acceptance may have on sites with remediation currently in progress.
We have a meeting scheduled on January 30, 1996 at 1:.30
p.m. with Dianne Hinson's group
to review the status of our sites. . If possible, we would Iike to include this issue on the agenda
for that meeting. Since the City has a number of unmet needs, we are very concerned about
spending funds unnecessarily for.remediation.
JAMES ESCOBAR
DEPUTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/O&M
' I
JE:eh I;
cc: James B.
