This addendum includes additional information,regarding <br /> sample preparation,methods to be used for soluble Nickel analysis. <br /> The Chain-of-Custody form sent to the laboratory will clearly state that a pH analysis <br /> should be conducted prior to running the Waste Extraction Test (WET) for Nickel. The <br /> results from the pH analysis will.determine the.method to be followed"for the extraction <br /> of Nickel from the soil sample:!'-uThe,Chain-of-Custody-form- will request the use. of <br /> deionized water to extract Nickel'if the pH of the sample is greater than 6.0 pH units. if <br /> the pH.of the sample-is less than 6.0-pH units,Lthe use of-citric. acid to perform the . <br /> Nickel extraction is considered acceptable. <br /> ' .,:�. <br /> As previously stated in our first:addendum dated July 7, 1992, the WET analysis for <br /> Nickel will be conducted if a Tota!'Threshold Limit Concentration;:(TTLC) of.20-mg/Kg <br /> or greater-is reported.
