4- V
CHRONOLOGY
"INLAND PAINT COMPANY"
117 W. Harding Way, Stockton CA. 95204
LOP groundwater site
03-08-90 One (1) 1,000-gallon steel, single-walled UST removed this day under
PHS-EHD permit. Slight odors noted during removal.
03/27/90 Laboratory results from soil samples under UST received. Contamination
noted and UAR#90-U32 and Prop 65#90-076 filed.
03/08/95 Site enters LOP as soil site. Two (2) responsible parties identified. PHS-
EHD requires further investigation to define lateral and vertical soil limits
and to conduct a groundwater investigation.
01/08/98 Soil boring "SB-1" advanced to 41.5' below ground surface (bgs) through
former UST pit area. Soil and groundwater samples reveal shallow soil
impact (400 & 5,800 mg/kg resp) attenuating with depth to non-detect at
35' bgs and low level TPH-g and TPH-d hits (460 & 130 pg/l resp) in
groundwater.
09/11/98 UST pit over-excavated to -15' bgs to remove most of soil contamination
identified from "SB-1". 52 cubic yards/70 tons removed and hauled to
Forward Landfill. Bottom samples "IP-SB" and "IP-NB" at 16' bgs reveal
residual TPH-g, d, and stoddard solvent (ss) remain at 3,300 and 4,700
and 4,500 mg/kg respectively. Additionally, MW-1, 2, & 3 and "SB-
2"installed around UST pit. MW-3, in UST pit reports highest groundwater
impact of TPH-g, d, and ss at 2,900 and 3,800 and 5, 500 pg/i at first
sampling event on 9-18-98. MtBE _ <6.6 µg11. Benzene = X5.0 µg11.
Xylene = 210 pg/l. "SB-2" soil boring just north of UST pit to 70' bgs for
vertical soil impact delineation. Soil samples from 65' and 70' bgs were
non-detect for BTEX and TPH-g;d,ss at acceptable detection limits.
03/24/00 Angle boring "SB-2A" advanced south of UST pit, under building to the
south at 30 degree off vertical angle to -32' bgs. Soil samples from 25'
and 30' bgs non-detect for TPH-g, d, ss, BTEX, and five oxygenates plus
MtBE (8260).
04/09/00 Offsite to south, MW-4 installed in Harding Way. Soil and groundwater
samples non-detect for all constituents previously analyzed. Consultant,
ATC, concludes site is delineated and plans to sample wells for annual
period and then request No Further Action (NFA).
05/29/01 ATC submits "Closure Report" dated May 25, 2001 and requests NFA.
07/17/01 PHS-EHD evaluates site and concurs with NFA. Preparation for submittal
to CVRWQCB begins.
07/31/09 Request for Concurrence for No Further Action sent to CVRWQCB.
