GROUNDWATER RESULTS IN PARTS PER MILLIONI
*: 1,2-Dichloroethane. **: Not analyzed after first time
Over-excavation was the only remediation performed at the site. Monitoring wells 1,2 &3 sampled quarterly for 2.5
years(10 times) since installation in September 1998. MW-4 installed offsite and upgradient on 4-10-00 and
sampled four times during 2000 only(always non-detect). TAME, DIPE,TBA ETBE sampled one time in soil and
groundwater by 8260 on September 18, 1998 and non-detect at acceptable detection limits. MW-3 (informer UST
pit) hottest of all wells and soil and groundwater data listed above from this well. Hottest detection is initial
sampling event('before' column) and most current groundwater or deepest soil data in 'after'`column. Most
current groundwater-sampling event done on 12-08-00.
IV. Closure
Does completed corrective action protect existing beneficial uses per the Regional Board Basin Plan? Engineering Geologist
VII. Additional Comments, Data, etc
Only corrective action proposed or conducted at site was over-excavation of 70 cubic yards of soil in former UST
pit area under PHS-EHD approval and oversight in September 1998. Slant boring "SB-2A" installed south of UST
pit and MW-3 area under building to determine 'south quadrant' delineation on March 23, 2000. The boring was
advanced 30 degrees off of vertical towards the south to x-30' bgs. Soil and groundwater samples were non-detect
for TPH as G, D, &SS, and BTEX and five oxygenates. Well survey indicated no drinking water wells threatened.
All four 4 monitoring wells properly destroyed under EHD permit and oversight,2114102.
This document and the related CASE CLOSURE LETTER shall be retained by the lead agency as part of the official' 1
site file. 1
M 117101 `
