The tubes were <br /> sealed with polytetrafluoroethylene-(PTFE)-coated sheets, plastic end caps and duct-tape to <br /> �- <br /> -reduce volatile-hydrocarbon loss, ,placed in an ice chestcontaining ice, .and submitted under , <br /> chain-of-custody to.a California-certified-laborator . Selected samples were analyzed for TPH <br /> and BTEX. <br /> Stockpile Sampling' <br /> Stockpile soil samples were collected by excavating one to three feet'below the stockpile surface ; <br /> and driving'two-inch diameter, six-inch long brass tubes into the soil. .The,tubes were sealed <br /> with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-coated sheets,plastic end caps and duct tape to reduce <br /> volatile hydrocarbon loss.
