DRILLING OF FOUR SOIL BORINGS <br /> On Decembei 7, 1998 fout angle soil botin;s were advanced at the site in the vicinity of a former <br /> UST (See Plates 2 and 3) The boiings were advanced at appioxiinately 60 degrees from ground <br /> isurface, using a tiuc,k-mounted diill ii`t, equipped with 8-incli hollow stem augers Soil samples <br /> were collected at 3 to 7 foot intervals beginning at 5 feet for lithologic classification, quantitati,,e <br /> field screening and potential chemical analyses Lithologic classification was based on the <br /> tUnified Soil Classification System (USCS) field screening of soil samples were conducted with <br /> an organic vapor analyzer (OVA) The borings were dulled, logged, and sampled following the <br /> protocol desctibed in Appendix B <br /> Borings B1 and B2 were advanced neat USI No 7 (SSI-H) and borings B3 and B4 were <br />' advanced neat UST No 4 (SC-250) Boi ings 131, B3 and B4 were advanced in a westerly <br /> direction beneath the two tanks Boi ing B2 was advanced in a northerly direction beneath UST <br /> No 7 (See Plate 3) The borings Nvete adN arced to total auger depth of approximately 25 feet, <br /> which is approxiinately 22 feet below (pound surface (bgs) <br /> Soil cuttings and water generated while drilling were stoied on site in 55 gallon drums pending <br />' chemical analysis <br /> r. <br />' 20-1108-24 E01/2019R120 1'aC7 7 of I6 <br /> © 1999, Kiemtddu Inc <br /> C cbrunry 5, 1999 <br /> 1 <br />
