FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> Ground Water MgMuring. Purging,}_gnd Sampling <br /> The water level in each well was measured with an electronic water level indicator The wells <br /> were checked for free product with a clean, Teflont bailer prior to purging and sampling When <br /> free product was not observed, ground water from monitoring wells MW1 through MWS was <br /> purged with a 2-inch diameter submersible pump Purging of the wells Included the removal of <br /> approximately three well volumes of water from each well Ground water samples were then <br /> collected with new polyethylene disposable bailers and decanted into appropriate sampling <br /> containers provided by the analytical laboratory The samples were immediately placed in an ice <br /> chest containing ice Samples were transported under chain-of-custody documentation to a <br /> California Department of Health Services-certified laboratory for analysis of Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline using modified EPA method 8015 and Benzene, Toluene, <br /> Ethylbenzene, and Total Xylenes using EPA method 602 <br />. The purging equipment was cleaned with a solution of liquinox detergent and water between each <br /> well to minimize the potential for cross-contamination All water removed during purging <br /> operations was placed in sealed, labeled 55-gallon drums and stored on-site <br /> INK <br /> WALLACE KUHL <br /> KeCY&M paper &ASSOCIATES INC <br />
