r <br /> MC@fi Associates <br /> 1433 North Market Boulevard •Sacramento California 95834-1943 • (916)928-3300• Fax(916)928-3341 <br /> • <br /> August 16, 1994 <br /> Project 0805-109 01 <br /> Ms Mary Meays <br /> San Joaquin Public Health Services <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Re Addendum to Problem Assessment Report ARCO Service Station No 0548 <br /> at 1612 Hammer Lane, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Meays <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), EMCON Associates (EMCON) has <br /> prepared this addendum to the Problem Assessment Report (PAR), prepared by RESNA <br /> Industries (RESNA, May 11, 1994, Report 30004-8) for the subject site (see Figure 1) <br /> Based on your letter dated June 2, 1994, the PAR failed to provide cross sections, maps <br /> with nearby wells that may influence the gradient, preliminary vapor extraction test <br /> results, and an evaluation of remedial alternatives EMCON has prepared this addendum <br /> . to provide this information <br /> Based on data collected to date, EMCON believes the lateral and vertical extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons, both remaining in soil and dissolved in the groundwater, have <br /> been defined The locations of the wells and other site features are shown on Figure 2 <br /> WATER SUPPLY WELLS <br /> Based on a well search conducted by a previous consultant at the City of Stockton Public <br /> Works Department, EMCON understands domestic water is supplied by municipal wells <br /> Numerous water-supply wells are located near the site Data obtained from the California <br /> Department of Water Resources concerning these wells are presented in Table 1, and the <br /> locations of the wells are depicted on Figure I The majority of the municipal wells are <br /> located east of the site The nearest municipa well (No 29) is approximately 1,000 feet <br /> to the south, and the nearest domestic well (No 26) is approximately 1,200 feet to the <br /> southeast There is another domestic well (No 27) that is approximately 1,500 feet to the <br /> northwest. Other wells may exist in the area but are not documented This information <br /> was originally presented in the Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER) <br /> prepared by RESNA (RESNA, June 26, 1992, Report 30004-4) <br /> SAC/p^80"8051090 ibm-94 mam 4 <br />
