AFIRM"
November $, 1993 O
Working to Restore Nature
ARCO Station No. 548, Stockton, California
in the sample from well MW-1. Concentrations of benzene and TPI-Ig are shown on Plate
2.
WORK IN PROGRESS
•
ARCO has authorized preparation of a work plan for installation of one vapor extraction
well in the area where the unauthorized leak occurred and one offsite groundwater
monitoring well hydraulically downgradient of monitoring well MW-5. The vapor extraction
well will be incorporated into the vapor extraction system which will be installed at the site.
• ARCO will continue quarterly monitoring.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Dissolved gasoline hydrocarbons were detected in groundwater samples collected from
• monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-5. Well MW-1 did not contain TOG at concentrations
above laboratory detection limits. RESNA recommends continued quarterly monitoring.
We understand that EMCON will conduct the next quarterly monitoring event in December,
1993.
.
