BP Oil-3202 Hammer
The Well Survey portion of the Report identified an irrigation well 315 feet west of this site. The possible
impact on the contaminant plume from the pumping influence of the irrigation well should be evaluated. `
Provide PHS/EHD with the specific calculations(including formulas and conversions)that were used for
determining groundwater velocity in the Site.Hydrology portion of the Report(refer to the PHS/EHD letter
dated July 13, 1999).
Provide PHS/EHD with the calculations that were used to determine the mass concentrations of
contaminants removed from soil and groundwater at the site during the tank replacement activities..
Overexcavation of contaminated soil below the previously existing underground tanks.did not occur. Mass
balance concentrations of contaminants remaining in the soil and groundwater at this site must also be .
calculated. The vertical and lateral extent of contamination in the soil and water at this site must be
determined in order to make these calculations.
A Work Plan to determine the lateral and vertical extent of contamination and to 12ropose the
pumpinp_and treatment of contaminants in the groundwater at this site should be submitted to
PHS/EHD by February 28,2000. Feasibility tests should be conducted in order to compare at least two
different remediation alternatives. Quarterly monitoring of all MWs should continue until otherwise
directed by this office.
