Ms Victoria McCartney
March 24, 2005
Page 7 ,
Soil Analytical Results
Single detections of MtBE were reported in boring MW-12 at approximately 15 feet bgs
(0 0064 mg/kg) and in boring MW-11 at approximately 25 feet bgs (0 0065 mg/kg)
Petroleum hydrocarbons and other fuel oxygenates were reported below laboratory
reporting limits Soil analytical results are presented in Table 2 The certified laboratory
analytical report and chain of custody documentation are presented in Attachment 5
Groundwater Analytical Results
GRO were detected in MW-12 at 52 pg/L, but were not detected above laboratory reporting
limits in well MW-11 TBA, MtBE, EtBE, and TAME were detected in both off-site wells at
maximum concentrations of 120 lag/L (MW-12), 2,800 lag/L (MW-12), 0 79 lag/L (MW-11),
and 24 pg/L (MW-12), respectively BTEX, DIPS, 1,2-DCA, and EDB were not detected
above laboratory reporting limits in groundwater from the off-site wells Groundwater y
analytical results are presented In Table 3 The certified laboratory analytical report and
chain-of-custody documentation are presented in Attachment 6
y
RinsatelPurge Water and Soil Cuttings
Soil cuttings and waste water generated during the installation and development of wells
MWA1 and MWA2 were temporarily stored on-site in nine State of California, Department
of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon steel drums Five drums containing soil
cuttings and four drums containing waste water were removed from the site by Filter
Recycling Services, Inc (FRS) on February 8, 2005, and transported to their Hayward
facility for temporary storage The soil cuttings and waste water are then hauled to FRS'
facility in Rialto, California for recycling/disposal
CONCLUSION
The results of this off-site assessment indicate the presence of an off-site dissolved
petroleum hydrocarbon plume consisting mainly of MtBE and TBA SECOR will add these
wells to the quarterly monitoring and sampling program during the first quarter 2005 to
evaluate the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates beneath and in the
vicinity of the site
LIMITATIONS
This report has been
p prepared for the exclusive use of ConocoPhillips and BP and its
representatives as it pertains to the property located at 3202 West Hammer Lane, Stockton,
California The evaluation of subsurface conditions at the site for the purpose of this
investigation is inherently limited due to the number of points of investigation There are no
representations, warranties, or guarantees that the results are representative of the entire
11ConocoPhdlips\Retail Sites1111931Reports111193 Off-Site Well Install 1-05 doc SECOR Intemattonal Incorporated
