The conductor casing may remain in place;
however, the two-inch diameter Schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride (PVC)casing, filter pack, and grout between the
PVC casing and metal conductor casing must be removed and the borehole filled under pressure from total
depth to surface with 10.3 Sack sand/cement grout, forming a"mushroom cap" at approximately three feet below
surface grade.
hope that my explanation is clear. If not, let me know what I need to clarify.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-9852
Email: vmccartneyCa)-sjcehd.com
F.,
S{' g
From: Allan Dudding [mailto:adudding@stratusinc.net]
Sent: Monday, June 03, 2013 1:34 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: RE: Well Destruction question
OK I just wanted to check before getting driller quotes. What about the conductor cased well? It's been a
long time since I destroyed one of those in SJ county.
Allan Dudding
Project Geologist
Stratus Environmental, Inc.
Ph: (530) 676-2064
Cell: (916)837-1688 j
Fax: (530) 676-6005
i
i
From: Vicki McCartney [EH] [mailto:vmccartney@sjcehd.com]
I
6/4/2013 j
