Information concerning whether to over-drill or
pressure grout each well is.included in the letter. Please:review the letter and if you still have questions,
please do not hesitate to contact me.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-9852
Email: vmccartney@.sicehd.com
_r
From: Steve Carter [mailto:scarter@stratusinc.net]
Sent: Thursday, May 30, 20131:49 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: 'Allan Dudding'
Subject: Parkinson's I-5 Arco,.3250 Hammer Lane,.Stockton (Site Code 2224)
Good afternoon,Vicki:
Now that the RWQCB has.issued the closure concurrence letter, is it okay to proceed with permitting
and scheduling well abandonment?.
j
MW-1 through MW-5 and MW-7 are.conventional single-completion monitoring wells. MW-6 is
installed in a conductor casing. I assume we can abandon these wells by pressure grouting. Wells IW-
1A/B through IW-4A/B are nested wells with two casings in the same boring. One of the casings in each
of the borings has the ceramic micro-diffuser, the other has standard machined slotted casing. Am I
correct in assuming the IW nested wells will need to be drilled out?
Stephen J.
