As necessary, a flag <br /> person will regulate the movement of large equipment <br /> or vehicles on and off the site. <br /> 7. DECONTAMINATION AND 'CORK ZONES <br /> All equipment will be decontaminated on-site using a pressure washer. This <br /> decontamination will be performed over plastic sheeting at the outer edge of the <br /> exclusion zone (see Figure 1). The exact location will depend on-site conditions at the <br /> time of decontamination. All waste will be collected and placed in drums for disposal. <br /> S. GENERAL PROJECT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS . <br /> The project operations will be conducted under the following minimum safety <br /> requirements: <br /> •, Eating, drinking, and smoking will be restricted to a designated area. <br /> Gross decontamination and removal of all personal protective equipment shall <br /> s, <br /> be performed prior to exiting the site. Contaminated clothing (tyveks, gloves, <br /> { etc.), used respiratory protective device cartridges, and similar disposable <br /> contaminated materials will be removed and collected at the site in a drum for <br /> disposal. In no instance will contaminated equipment or material be taken off- <br /> site unless it is either decontaminated or packed and shipped for proper <br /> treatment and/or disposal. <br /> • Shaking or blowing of potentially contaminated clothing or equipment to <br /> ti <br /> remove dust or other materials will not be permitted. <br /> • The Project Foreman will be responsible to take necessary steps to ensure that <br /> employees are protected from physical hazards, which could include: <br /> s - Improper use of cables and chains. <br /> Ls - Falling objects such as tools or equipment. <br /> - Falls from elevations. <br /> - Tripping over hoses, pipes, tools, or equipment. <br /> - Slipping on wet or oily surfaces. <br /> - Insufficient or faulty protective equipment. <br /> T - rsu icient or faulty operations-, equipment,or tools. <br /> - Entry into confined spaces (excavations greater than 4 feet). <br /> Unqualified equipment operators. <br /> F <br /> .s <br /> .n <br />
