MTBE and the other fuel oxygenates were below laboratory detection limits in the soil sample
collected from boring SHP-6.
Based on the results of this investigation, it appears that TPH-G and MTBE are present in the shallow
groundwater and have migrated only a short distance generally down gradient on site near groundwater
monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-5. The maximum TPH-G and MTBE concentrations detected in the
groundwater samples from this investigation were 8,900 micrograms per liter (µg/1) for both
constituents in the sample from SHP-2, which is located near MW-2, approximately 25 feet
downgradient of the pump island. The lateral and vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbons and MTBE
at the site appears to be adequately defined in all directions, including to the east of the site, in the area
of the soil boring SHP-6, and newly installed wells MW-9 and MW-10.
r
1
r
i
r
.r
r
r
r
J-,.lo Pnpre..Wl'IAtiTnP5p5 UJtREP4Rri1JiMILtinil airino+nJ Wrll In.1.Iluww.Joc 2
