4-1
1
• 4
. SUMMARY OF RESULTS
A summary of the analytical results s from current and past well sampling is presented in Table 1 Based
on the water-level data for June 8, 1998 (Table 1), ATC Associates Inc has interpreted the groundwater
gradient and flow directions for the upper aquifer, as shown on Figure 3 In the local upper aquifer
(Monitoring Wells MW-5, MW-6 and MW-7), the groundwater level decreased from the previous quarter
an average of 0 75 feet, ranging from 0 62 feet in Monitoring Well MW-7 to 0 81 feet in Monit
oring Well
MW-5 The apparent groundwater flow direction in the Iocal upper aquifer is southeasterly at a gradient
of approximately 0 002 (Figure 3)
Based on the water-Ievel data for June 8, 1998 (Table 1), ATC Associates Inc has interpreted the
groundwater gradient and flow directions for the lower aquifer, as shown on Figure 4 In the local lower
aquifer (Monitoring Wells MW-1R, MW-2, MW-3 and MW4), the groundwater level decreased from the
previous quarter an average of 0 85 feet, ranging from 0 81 feet in Monitoring Well MW-IR to 0 93 feet
in Monitoring Well MW-3 The apparent groundwater flow direction in the local lower aquifer is
southerly to southeasterly at a gradient of approximately 0 001 (Figure 4
g )
Laboratory analysis of the water sample collected on June 8, 1998 from MW-1R, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4,
MW-5, MW-6 and MW-7 indicates that TPH-G and BTEX were not detected in any groundwater
samples Laboratory results of the analysis for the fuel oxygenate compounds by EPA Method 8260
showed MTBE was detected in the groundwater samples collected from Monitoring Wells MWAR [23
parts per billion (ppb)], MW-2 (6,600 ppb) and MW-5 (1,600 ppb) In addition, non-detectable levels of
TBA, DIPE, ETBE, and TAME were present in all groundwater samples The next quarterly groundwater
sampling is scheduled for the third quarter of 1998
1999 Ist Quaner Groundwater Monflonng Repon
ATC pLS ULEASANTOMAdmin Task\LEHRMAMQUIK5T0P113Za9rp1 2nd doc[July:D 199&]
