5.0 METHODOLOGIES <br /> 5.1 Contaminants of Concern <br /> This investigation was primarily concerned with the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons beneath <br /> the site. Accordingly, soil and groundwater samples were analyzed for: TPH-G in accordance <br /> with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Test Method 8015K BTEX in accordance with <br /> EPA Test Method 8020, and fuel oxygenates tert-butanol, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE and TAME in <br /> accordance with EPA Test Method 8260, <br /> 5.2 Analytical Laboratory <br /> ATC utilized the laboratory services of Entech Analytical Labs, Inc. (Entech), of Sunnyvale, <br /> California for this project. Entech is certified in California by the Department of Health Services <br /> under the Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (FLAP). All soil and groundwater <br /> samples were analyzed on a 10 working day turn-around time. <br /> 5.3 Sampling Protocol <br /> The sampling Protocol and methodology were based on guidance from the following: <br /> • Tri Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and <br /> Investigation of Underground Tank Sites, California Regional Water Quality <br /> ' Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region, August 10, 1991. <br /> • Test Methods for evaluating Solid Waste, SW-846, Office of Solid Waste and <br /> Emergency Response, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. <br /> J_Nb PropmVQMXMRQS 132(OOOJ)IREPORMOMAddDridONS.&C 9 ATC Associates Inc. <br />
