6.0 LABORATORY ANALYSES
One soil sample was obtained from each of the three soil borings and submitted to the analytical
laboratory for chemical analyses in accordance with ATC's Work Plan. Groundwater samples
' (upper and lower aquifers) were also obtained from each boring and submitted to the analytical
laboratory for chemical analyses.
1 6.1 Soil
' The soil samples were analyzed for the following: TPH-G in accordance with EPA Test Method
8015M, BTEX in accordance with EPA Test Method 8020, and fuel oxygenates tert-butanol,
MTBE, DIPE, ETBE and TAME in accordance with EPA Test Method 8260.
Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected in any of the soil samples. The analytical results for
soil samples are presented in Table 1. Copies of the signed laboratory analytical reports and
chain-of-custody forms are provided in Appendix E.
6.2 Groundwater
The groundwater samples were analyzed for the following: TPH-G in accordance with EPA Test
Method 8015M, BTEX in accordance with EPA Test Method 8020, and fuel oxygenates tert-
tbutanol, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE and TAME in accordance with EPA Test Method 8260.
TPH-G was detected in groundwater samples obtained from SB-1 at 10 and 24 feet, from SB-2 at
17 and 29 feet and from S13-3 at 25 feet bgs. MTBE was also detected in groundwater samples
obtained from SB-1 at depths 10 and 24 feet bgs, from SB-2 at depths 17 and 29 feet and from
S13-3 at 25 feet bgs. MTBE was below laboratory detection limit in groundwater sample
collected from soil boring SB-3 at 11 feet bgs. BTEX and fuel oxygenates, excluding MTBE,
were not present in groundwater samples obtained from S13-1, SB-2 and S13-3. The analytical
results for the groundwater samples are presented in Table 2. A site plan showing select analytes
' in groundwater from this investigation and previous investigations is presented as Figure 4.
Copies of the signed laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody forms are provided in
Appendix E.
1:Un Program\QU[KS10RQ5 132(0003)\UF0R=000\AddDn70M.dw 12 ATC Associates Inc.
1
