Working to Restore Nature
Quik Stop Market No. 1.32
Project No. F7132.93 June 8, 1993
In November 1992, with the assistance of the SJCPHS, RESNA was granted permission to
enter the Taco Bell properly and install 2 groundwater monitoring wells. These monitoring
wells designated MW-6 and MW-7 were installed on December 9, 1993. Subsequent
laboratory analysis of the soil and groundwater samples collected from MW-6 and MW-7
found that TPHG, BTEX and fecal coliform were not detected in either well (RESNA,
January 1993). On the basis of data gathered from the installation of theses two wells and
the December 1992 Quarterly Groundwater Sampling and Analysis, RESNA made the
following recommendations:
• Sampling and analysis of monitoring wells MW-3 and MW4 be
discontinued. Quarterly measurement of groundwater elevations will
continue.
, • Analysis of groundwater samples for fecal coliform be discontinued.
• Monitoring wells MW-6 and MW-7 be added to the array of wells being
monitored quarterly.
In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, February 2, 1993, between Mr. Michael Collins of
the SJCPHS and Mr. Richard Garlow of RESNA these changes were approved.
References
Exceltech, September 1990, Preliminary Soil and Groundwater Investigation at Quik Stop
Market No. 132, 3555 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, California;unpublished report
' for Quik Stop Markets, Inc., Fremont, California.
November 1990,Termination of Excavation, Quik Stop 132, 3555 West Hammer
Lane, Stockton, California; unpublished report for Quik Stop Markets, Inc.,
Fremont, California.
Exceltech RESNA, Y Jul 1991, Phase III Soil and Groundwater Investigation at Quik Stop
Market No. 132,3555 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, California;unpublished report
i; for Quik Stop Markets, Inc., Fremont, California.
RESNA, July 1992, Soil Gas and Shallow Groundwater Survey for Quik Stop Market No.
i132, 3555 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, California; unpublished report for Quik
Stop Markets, Inc.
