This work was completed as an addendum to a <br /> Preliminary Problem Assessment submitter! to Chevron in January <br /> 1989. The additional work was proposed to and approved by the San <br /> r Joaquin Departnent of Environmental Health in a Work Plan <br /> submitted to their office on 12 January 1189. This report <br /> � i summarizes the subsurface investigations according to the format <br /> of ,appendix A, recommended by the Central Valley Regional Seater <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) . <br /> 1.2 I=ATION AtlD SITE, SETTItiG <br /> 3 <br /> Former Chevron Service Station 9-1918 is located on the northwest <br /> �., corner of the intersection of East Harding Way and El Dorado <br /> Street in north central Stockton, California (Figure 1) . The <br /> vacant and unimproved site is located 3 miles cast of Interstate 5 <br /> and legs than a mile west of the State Hospital complex at Harding <br /> Way and California Street. Chevron Service Station 9-1918 had <br /> actively dispensed gasoline products acid serviced automobiles at <br /> this site between 1953 and 1988. The original station was <br /> ` remodelled, and fiberglass storage tanks were installed in 1984, <br /> The station was deactivated and demolished early in 1988. The <br /> =----- -----undezground_s-to.rn.ge.._tenks_--were.-.pulled-on-24 -Februa,ry 988. ------ <br /> Seven wells listed with the State of California Department of <br /> Water Resources indicated by small bullscyes .on Figure 1, are <br /> located within a half mile of former Chevron SS 9-1918. <br /> 1 <br />
