The proposed treatment
system employs the HasGtech Multimode combustor similar to the
one you vievoe. In Oakdale. The VETS consiats of a vacuum pump
unit to provide the auction for soil vapor removal, a flame
incinerator to burn off the bulk of the hydrocarbon contaminants,
and a catalytic reactor to removes the remaining contaminants for
fl.%al hydrocarbon-free discharge. Once purchased and permitted
appropriately, thin system Is easily m- yed to additional sites
for continued operation.
The work plan and budget proposed herein covers purchasing,
installing, parmittinj, testing, sampling, and operating the unit
for six months. Operation beyond the 6-month period will depend
on the level of cleanup obtained at the site, and is not covered
under the proposed costs.
EA is prepared to begin the permitting and acquisition processes
within one week of written authorization to proceed. Delivery of
the Hasstech systam to the site 16 est1mated to take 4 to 7 weeks
from the date of order; permitting Is also expected to require
the same 4 to 7 weeks.
