The purpose of the meeting was to <br /> list the investigative and remedial actions which need to be taken at the site and to decide on a timeline <br /> for their implementation. Accordingly, the group decided that the first task will be the submittal of a <br /> report documenting the in-situ denitrification bench tests conducted by Chevron. I look forward to <br /> receiving the report by the agreed-upon date of 1 August 1997. <br /> The second task is to produce a workplan to define the lateral and vertical extent of groundwater <br /> contamination. In order to delineate the plume in all four directions, both on-site and off-site <br /> groundwater samples must be collected. The workplan is due by 15 September 1997. <br /> The existing monitoring wells, and the monitoring wells installed at a later date, need to be sampled on a <br /> quarterly basis. To that end, I have prepared the enclosed draft monitoring and reporting program <br /> (MRP). While this MRP is will become a Board Order when finalized, its issuance is not intended as a <br />
