29 October 1998
AGE-NC Project No 98-0448
' borings MW-4 at depths between 20 feet and 55 feet bsg,from MW-6 at depths between 30
and 40 feet bsg and from MW-7 at 40 foot bsg Each sample that contained the unidentified
odor was noted on boring logs as having a dark blue color, organuc, and non-detect utilizing
' a PID meter(lacking hydrocarbons)
S.Q. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon data collected during July and September 1998, AGE recommends
• Continued quarterly ground water monitoring and sampling should be performed at the site
' to achieve a better understanding of dissolved TPH-g concentrations at the site The next
quarterly monrtonng event is tentatively scheduled for December 1998
 • Preparation of a work plan addendum for the installation of at least one soil vapor extraction
(SVE) well and one in-situ air sparging (IAS) well as part of a site feasibility study Field
parameters and analytical results collected from both the IAS pilot test and the SVE pilot
study would assist in determining remedial feasibility at the site Upon completion of both
IAS and SVE pilot test, a corrective action plan should be prepared and submitted to the
PHS-EHD
' 6.0. LIMITATIONS
5
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
' environmental consultants practicing in flus or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydro-
geologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number
' of available data points (e g soil and ground water samples from borings and monitoring wells), and
subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or
implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GeoEnvironmentaf,Inc.
