Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2004 <br /> SIERRA LUMBER <br /> 375 West Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Bob Long of Sierra Lumber, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has <br />' prepared this quarterly report documenting the procedures and results for the third quarter 2004 <br /> ground water monitoring event performed at 375 West Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California(the <br /> site),the report also documents July,August and September 2004 progress of the in-situ air sparging <br />' (IAS)and soil vapor extraction(SVE)recovery system The objectives of the site activities were to <br /> monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water, to assess ground water <br />' flow direction and gradient, and to monitor the progress and effectiveness of SVE and IAS <br /> remediation at the site The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well <br /> locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br />' During the second quarter 2004, one additional SVE well (VW-6) and one additional IAS well <br /> (AW-5) were installed to augment remediation efforts near the "core" area of petroleum <br />' hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water, newly installed wells AW-5 and VW-6 were <br /> incorporated into the SVE/IAS remediation system network on 03 June 2004 Results of the well <br /> installations were previously detailed in Quarterly Report-First&Second Quarters 2004,dated 03 <br /> • September 2004 <br /> This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region(RWQCB)for investigation of underground storage <br /> tank (UST) sites Analytical data for ground water and soil-gas vapor acquired to date is included <br /> in this report <br />' The followingis a brief summary of site assessment and SVE/1AS remediation activities performed <br /> ary <br /> at the site between 22 June and 23 September 2004 (Third Quarter 2004) <br />' <br /> • Between 22 June and 23 September 2004-Continued SVE remediation selectively utilizing <br /> on-site SVE wells (VW-1, VW-2, VW-5 and VW-6), extracted a total of approximately 71 <br />' pounds of petroleum hydrocarbons from the subsurface <br /> • 22 July 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVEAAS remediation system <br />' • 31 August 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE/IAS remediation system <br /> Due to a faulty air compressor motor,the SVE/1AS remediation system was temporarily shut- <br /> down between 04-05 August 2004 <br />' 03 September 2004 - Quarter) ground water monitoring event (Third Quarter '2004) <br /> • ep Y <br /> performed at wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4A, MW-4B and MW-6 <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
